Kamaka was founded in 1916 by Samuel Kamaka (who received his education from Manuel Nunes as a family business. Today, it is the oldest of all ukulele builders and belongs to the renowned 4K ukulele manufacturers of Hawaii. The ukulele in pineapple form was invented here.
