Kia, George
Life
Born on Hawaii (his mother was servant of Queen Lili'uokalani), he learned the printing business. He mastered numerous instruments and as an employee of the music merchant George J. Birkel in Los Angeles, with his band George Kia and his Hawaiians made the ukulele popular in California.
Work
Kia published in 1914 his own textbook for ukulele and rajão.
