Jazz
In musical history a musical style that originated in the USA at the beginning of the 20th century. It has African and Afro-American roots, which is reflected in differences to conventional Western music in rhythm, melody, harmony, formal language and performance practice. Typical elements are among others call and response songs, Blue Notes and the Jazz progression. For playing jazz music, chord-melody was developed.
