Nihon Goraku was founded in 1945 in Onomichi (Hiroshima prefecture).

In the ukulele world, Nihon Goraku is known by its trademark ORCAS. Under this name, strings, ukulele cases and bags as well as carrying straps, clip tuners and other accessories are distributed. At least the strings are actually produced in Japan.
