Pat Boone

1.6.1934–

Growing up in Nashville, Tennessee, he got to know Country and Rhythm & Blues, which he popularized with cover versions. Through television appearances, amongst them with Arthur Godfrey, his own television show and films such as Bernardine (1957) he became a youth idol („America's new boy friend“, „everybody's feller“) and the biggest rival of Elvis Presley. Like Godfrey, he played the baritone ukulele.
