Founded in the UK in 1947 as a manufacturer of electronic and electrical music equipment and accessories (mainly amplifier, most popular model: Vox AC30). Their electric guitars stood out with their „teardrop“ shape. Since 1982, the entire guitar production took place in Japan, since 1985, in Korea. In 1990, Vox was sold to Korg.
