WebsiteWorth Strings

Worth is a Japanese manufacturer of high quality ukulele strings. All strings consist of fluorocarbon, a group of plastics in which carbon atoms are replaced by fluorine. They are non-biodegradable and extremely resistant to heat and chemicals. 1)

Lengths

Worth strings are 46 or 63 inches (117 or 160 cm) long. The 63-inch strings are distributed under the specification tenor. In fact, this is more than twice the length of a tenor string or three times the length of a concert string.

Clear Strings

Worth currently produces 31 types of clear strings. Their product code starts with „C“ (for clear). They give brighter tones than the brown strings.

Brown Strings

Worth currently produces 15 types of brown strings. Their product code starts with „B“ (for brown). They give warmer tones than the clear strings.

Thickness

The thickness of a Worth string is indicated in the second letter of the product code.

These strings are suitable for soprano and concert Ukuleles.
